Lounavoima
Lounavoima Oy produces energy from waste. Lounavoima is currently constructing a waste to energy power plant in Korvenmäki in Salo, which will convert unrecyclable municipal solid waste into energy.
MAB Powertec is responsible for all project and engineering services of Lounavoima’s new waste-to-energy plant, and this project will further strengthen MAB Powertec’s significant expertise in power plant projects and its expertise in modern and low-emission power plants.

Haapajärven Lämpö
Haapajärven Lämpö Oy is currently constructing a new environmentally friendly heat plant, which will be situated in the same area as the already existing Rantakatu heat plant.
The new hybrid plant will use local fuels for its heat production. In addition, it will produce a portion of its own energy demand using solar energy. The fuel power efficiency of the heat plant will be 20MW. The new hybrid bio-plant is a public procurement where MAB Powertec’s expertise has played an important role as the owner’s engineer service provider.

Lempäälän Energia
MAB Powertec provided project and engineering services for Lempäälän Energia and their 7MW heat plant project on Viialantie. The heat plant uses fuels, such as wood chips, byproduct from the sawmill industry and peat.

Hartela Etelä-Suomi
MAB Powertec provided a 35kW solar panel system as a turn-key delivery. Solar energy will be collected using 113 solar panels installed both on the roof and on the south-facing wall of the building.

Universidad Austral
MAB Powertec is part of a pilot project on district heating at the Isla Teja campus of Austral University, in Valdivia, Chile. The aim of this pilot project is to replace the university’s building-specific diesel boilers with district heating networks, which will be a turning point in the heat production in Chile.

During 2018 Pori Energia modernized their fuel handling and storage facilities at their Aittaluoto power plant to reduce the environmental impact of the plant. As part of the project, the catchment basin was modernized, and the fuel loading station was constructed to meet the current legislation

During 2017-2018, Jyväskylän Energia modernized their fuel handling and storage facilities to meet the current legislation and reduce the environmental impact of their heat and power plants.
The experts at MAB Powertec coordinated an EPCM arrangement for this project including project management, procurements, engineering and site supervision.

During 2018 Kanteleen Voima updated the safety management system of their Haapavesi power plant. MAB Powertec updated all safety documentation and systems to create a unified structure. During the project a Major Accident Prevention Policy was also drawn up for the power plant.

Lounavoima | Carbon capture
MAB Powertec has started a project with Lounavoima Oy with the purpose of finding a carbon capture technology suitable for Lounavoima’s waste-to-energy power plant. The aim is to separate carbon dioxide from the power plant’s flue gases, which is to be further processed into methane.
